Who is responsible for this site?
KLIMA Z.A.I., s.r.o. publishes True Aspect and is responsible for the handling of personal information described here.
- KLIMA Z.A.I., s.r.o.
- Tyršova 354, Vodňany II, 389 01 Vodňany, Czech Republic
- Registered number: 26075776
- Tax/VAT number: CZ26075776
- Email: info@trueaspect.online
What rules does KLIMA Z.A.I., s.r.o. apply?
Personal information of readers in Australia is handled in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. The principles are published by the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au/privacy/australian-privacy-principles. Because KLIMA Z.A.I., s.r.o. is established in the Czech Republic, the European rules described near the end of this policy also apply.
What does this policy cover?
It covers the website at the domain trueaspect.online and the email address info@trueaspect.online. It does not cover any other site. Following a link from here — including an affiliate link to the Norton AntiVirus Plus website — takes a reader to a site operated by someone else, with its own privacy policy, which governs what happens there.
What do you keep about me?
Two categories, and nothing else.
1. Access logs
Our hosting provider records a line for each request made to the server. These entries contain:
- the IP address the request came from;
- the date and time of the request;
- the URL requested;
- the referring page, if the browser sends one;
- the user-agent string the browser sends, which usually identifies the browser and operating system.
2. The content of emails
If a reader writes to info@trueaspect.online, the message is held in a mailbox at our email service provider. That includes the sender's address, any name given, the text of the message and any attachment sent.
3. Nothing else
Beyond those two categories, nothing is collected. To state it explicitly: this site has no contact form, no newsletter sign-up, no quiz, no comment facility, no account and no chat widget. It sets no cookies and uses no local storage. It runs no analytics and carries no advertising tag. It performs no profiling and no cross-site tracking. It loads no web fonts, no scripts, no images and no files from any other server, which means that reading a page here causes the browser to contact no server other than the one hosting this site.
Can I read this site without identifying myself?
Yes. Nothing on this site asks who a reader is, and no identification is needed to read any entry. A reader who writes in may use a pseudonym and need not give a real name, with one exception: where someone asks for access to, or correction of, information held about them, enough information is needed to be sure the request comes from the person it concerns. This reflects Australian Privacy Principle 2.
Why is each category held?
Access logs are kept for the security of the site, for preventing and investigating abuse, and for diagnosing faults. They are not used to build a profile of any reader and are not analysed for marketing.
Email is kept to read and answer the enquiry it contains, and to keep a record of what was said if the matter continues.
How long is it kept?
Access logs are retained for 30 days and then deleted.
Email is retained for 24 months after the last message in the conversation and then deleted, unless it needs to be kept longer because it relates to a legal claim that is being made, defended or anticipated.
What is it used for, and who is it given to?
Each category is used only for the purposes stated above, as required by Australian Privacy Principle 6. Personal information is never sold, rented, traded or shared with anyone for marketing. It is disclosed to a government body, regulator or court only where the law requires disclosure.
Will I be sent marketing?
No. KLIMA Z.A.I., s.r.o. does not send direct marketing in connection with this site and does not operate a mailing list. An email sent to the contact address receives an answer to it and nothing further. This reflects Australian Privacy Principle 7.
Who else handles this information?
Two service providers, and no one else:
- Our hosting provider, which runs the server this site is served from and keeps the access logs described above;
- Our email service provider, which operates the mailbox behind info@trueaspect.online.
No advertising network, analytics company, data broker or marketing agency receives anything, because nothing is collected to give them.
Does information go outside Australia?
It may. Our hosting provider and our email service provider may store or process data outside Australia, and the location may be outside Australia. KLIMA Z.A.I., s.r.o. is itself established in the Czech Republic, so information reaching it is handled there. This disclosure is made for the purposes of Australian Privacy Principle 8.
What happens when I click an affiliate link?
Following an affiliate link leaves trueaspect.online. From that moment, the Norton AntiVirus Plus website and the affiliate network that operates the link may set cookies or use similar technology on their own sites to record that the referral came from here. Those technologies are theirs, set on their domains, under their own privacy policies, and KLIMA Z.A.I., s.r.o. does not control them.
KLIMA Z.A.I., s.r.o. receives commission reports from the network. Those reports are used only to check that payments are correct. KLIMA Z.A.I., s.r.o. does not seek, and does not want, information that would identify an individual reader from them.
How is it kept secure?
Every page of this site is served over HTTPS. The site holds no database and stores no submissions, because it accepts none. The hosting account and the mailbox are accessible only to people working for KLIMA Z.A.I., s.r.o., and access is limited to those who need it. This reflects Australian Privacy Principle 11. No security certification or standard is claimed here beyond what is described in this paragraph.
What if the information you hold about me is wrong?
Where KLIMA Z.A.I., s.r.o. holds information about someone in an email, and that information is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete, it is corrected on request. This reflects Australian Privacy Principle 10.
How do I see or correct what you hold?
Email info@trueaspect.online with "Privacy request" in the subject line. There is no charge for making a request. A response is sent within 30 days. If a request cannot be met in full, the reasons are given in writing. This reflects Australian Privacy Principles 12 and 13.
What if I want to complain?
Complaints about the handling of personal information should go first to info@trueaspect.online and are answered within 30 days. If the response is unsatisfactory, a complaint may be made to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au/privacy/privacy-complaints.
What happens if there is a data breach?
If KLIMA Z.A.I., s.r.o. suspects a breach involving personal information, it assesses promptly whether the breach is likely to result in serious harm. Where it is, the individuals affected and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner are notified in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
What about children?
This site is not directed at people under 16. It publishes reference material for a general adult readership, and nothing on it is designed to appeal to children. No information is collected for the purpose of identifying a reader's age, and no information is knowingly collected from a child.
Rights for readers in the EU, the EEA and the UK
KLIMA Z.A.I., s.r.o. is established in the Czech Republic, so the General Data Protection Regulation applies to its handling of personal information.
Legal basis. Access logs are processed on the basis of legitimate interests — keeping the site available, secure and free of abuse. Email is processed in order to respond to the enquiry the sender has made. No processing relies on consent, because this site sets no cookies and uses no tracking technology for which consent would be required.
Rights. Subject to the conditions in the Regulation, individuals have the right of access to their personal data; to rectification of inaccurate data; to erasure; to restriction of processing; to data portability; and to object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests.
Supervisory authority. A complaint may be made to the Czech supervisory authority, the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů), at uoou.gov.cz.
Will this policy change?
It will be revised if what the site does changes. The effective date at the top is updated with each revision. Where a change is material, a notice saying so is shown at the top of this page for 30 days.
